Timeline for Application and Appointment
- July 10, 2025: The Board took action to make a provisional appointment.
- July 15, 2025: Application was released on ambroserec.org.
- August 1, 2025: Applications are due to the Ambrose Recreation & Park Distrct by 4:00p.m.
- August 4, 2025 through August 8, 2025: General Manager reviews applications and selects three applicants to move foward to interviews.
- August 14, 2025: Board interviews fialists and makes a provisional appointment.
Length of Term
The applicant selected to fill this vacancy will serve from their appointment until on or about December 14, 2026. A regular election will be held in November 2026 to fill this position for the following term, which lasts four years. The appointed Board Member would be eligible to run for the Board position.
Eligibility
Applicants are eligible if they are:
- 18 years of age or older;
- A citizen of the state;
- A resident within the Ambrose Recreation and Park District
- A registered voter
