On June 11, 2016 the Ambrose Recreation & Park District's Board of Directors hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ambrose Park Aquatics Center Complex renovation. The event celebrated the start of construction that will provide a renovated pool and deck and a new bathhouse and restrooms. This long awaited project is funded by the East Bay Regional Park District Measure WW, the Keller Canyon Mitigation Fund, the City of Pittsburg, and the Ambrose Recreation & Park District. The project is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day 2017.
