ARPD provides recreation, parks, youth and adult programs, senior nutrition, after school programming, activities, holiday happenings, classes and special events for the Bay Point community and surrounding areas.


Memorial Service and Bay Point Spring Derby Parade

Monday May 27, 2013 Bay Point has a Memorial Service conducted by The Bay Point Chamber of Commerce, held at Ambrose Center, 3105 Willow Pass Rd. starting at 9:00 a.m. Public Officials that have committed their attendance are Supt. Tom Torlakson, Senator Mark DeSaulnier, and Federal Glover. Possible attendees also include Congressman George Miller and Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla. Following the service will be the Bay Point Spring Derby Parade and Festival. Honor our Bay Point veterans and remember. The parade and festivities start at 10:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Details: Fee includes t-shirt, weekly snack and a small award at the end of the program. All games played at the Ambrose Community Center on Saturdays, starting at 8:30 AM. Signup at the Ambrose Community Center from 8-5 PM, M–F. Program costs are supplemented and supported by CCC Supervisor Federal Glover and a Keller Canyon Grant.

Biddy Sports Outdoor T-Ball

Signups are under way for the Ambrose Recreation & Park District Biddy Sports T-Ball Program for boys and girls 3-5 years of age. This six week sport program introduces your child to the sport of T-Ball. Participants learn the fundamentals of T-Ball; develop social skills in a fun, safe and family-oriented environment. Participants will receive a team shirt, a weekly snack and small award at the end of the program. Games are played on six consecutive Saturday mornings and registration is open until Wednesday June 5th. Cost of the program is only $25.00 due to a grant from Kaiser Permanente, which helps offset the program costs. The program is held at the Ambrose Community Center, located at 3105 Willow Pass Road, Bay Point. For additional information about Biddy Sports go to www.biddysports.com, or call 458-1601.

Volunteers Needed!

The Ambrose Recreation and Park District is always seeking volunteers to help with special events, park clean-ups, and community center activities. Here is your chance to give back to your community while having fun meeting new friends. Volunteer applications are available at the district Administrative offices, at 3105 Willow Pass Road, Monday-Friday 9 am -5 pm.

Volunteers will be placed by their area of interest, by availability, and program times. For more information please call 458-1601
