Contra Costa Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan
PUBLIC INPUT FOR DRAFT SOUGHT
On June 3, 2009, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority released a draft update of
the Contra Costa Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. This important document
will be used to guide the development of facilities and programs that make bicycling
and walking in Contra Costa safer and more enjoyable. The draft plan assesses the
needs of bicyclists and pedestrians in Contra Costa, establishes a countywide bicycle
network, and identifies a set of improvements and implementation strategies that will
encourage more people to walk and bicycle.
