Thirteen trees will need to be removed to accommodate the new pool project as we discussed in our public meetings. The trees as you can see from the exhibit are not prime oak trees, as we promised not to remove any oak trees if at all possible. The trees being removed are low value trees and some are not in good condition and don’t add any visual dynamics to the park. After the pool project is finished new trees will be planted to back fill any areas that would benefit from more shade trees, if any. If you have any questions on the trees please call the District office (925-458-1602) and talk with the General Manager, Tarry Smith.
